| Thank you for your interest in relocation to historic Aberdeen - recently named one of “10 Great Small Towns for Retirement” by Travel 50 & Beyond magazine. | |
| Aberdeen has a rich history as a river town founded in the 1830s. Now activity on the water thrives again with the opening of the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway. The Aberdeen Lake section of the Tenn-Tom has a constant water level which makes boating and fishing ideal. Camping, hiking, and picnicking are available in the scenic Blue Bluff Recreation Area on the west side of the Waterway. | ![]() |

Community involvement is always strong in Aberdeen, and civic organizations and churches all find ways to participate in Pilgrimage activities. This civic involvement helps newcomers become a part of the community and develop friendships quickly. |
