Underground Railroad Bicycle Route

Aberdeen, with its rich antebellum-era charm, is an official Underground Railroad Trail stop on the route for cyclists.

We are near the end of the first leg, and it’s an “easy” ride day to us, followed by a day of rest before the 31-mile ride to Fulton, which ends the first leg.

From Fulton, cyclists travel north, exit onto the Natchez Trace and head to Tennessee to continue this 2000-mile corridor that spans from Mobile, AL to Ontario, Canada.
